[Seraphina wheeled her chair away from her desk in a smooth practiced motion. It was well into the evening and she scowled at the clock. It mocked her with the knowledge she'd truly been hunkered down in the office since this morning. Her stomach rumbled, an inelegant sound but it certainly matched her dressed down appearance. She only took calls today, only came face to face with her most trusted prinny staff. Her nightgown that desperately needed to go through the wash, her hair pulled into an unkempt bun. Truly, she was a domestic goddess and no less gorgeous than any other day but some sides of herself were not meant for the public or bureaucratic. Especially her slippers with the butterfly wings. (Many a paparazzi had tried to get a glimpse of the rumored homebody princess overlord but none had survived.)

Scowling at the mess of files on her desk, she gathered them up and slide them into their cabinets without even blinking. It was all second nature to her, every ten days data management and review, e-mail council and report reading. She popped open her portable closet and changed accordingly, donning a cute pair of short shorts and heels to go with her halter top. Adjusting the last clip in her hair she stepped out of her office into the busy workplace of prinnies and ghosts scurrying carts through the halls.

"Patricia!"

"Yes, ma'am?"

"I have closed my office hours today."

"Very good, ma'am. First Gentleman Adell has left a message letting you know he is still at the Assembly, dood."

"What?!"

Seraphina felt hypoglycemic rage take her, a violent flash of pink energy expelling around her body before the fuchsia prinny expertly threw three bite size chocolates into her mouth.

"Would you like dinner brought to your corners, ma'am?"

"...ugh. No."

Seraphina chewed and swallowed her candy, the sugar melting her anger into tolerable annoyance. She pointed at some dates on their calendar instead, walking away to the Assembly that was keeping Adell from dinner and her arms.]

The vote should have been over by now! He was eighth in line, hmph, but if those Golems had a new amendment to a bill to introduce Hades knows they take their precious time. You'd think they would be worn away to mineral dust by now!

[Muttering under her breath, various staff avoided her without hesitation as she made her way through the castle, out to the streets that lead to various government buildings. She was tired. She was hungry. That Mothman Overlord's check bounced again and Adell was always volunteering to do something on her behalf. It was as sweet as it was infuriating. Adell, selfishly selfless, always being considerate of her position but... She pushed the door to the assembly with more power than necessary, nearly knocking the block off a puppet passing by.

She was lonely! She was tired of being responsible! This second time should have been easier, she knew what to expect, but there just never seemed to be enough time to just be. Huffy, she rubbed at her face, pushing away numbers flying through her head despite the files locked away, and headed to the auditorium.]

[Adell for his part, enjoyed feeling her squeeze him back, feeling the warmth of her body resonate through his dress clothes and to his skin. It was nice, calming, and relaxing on a deep level. His eyes lilted to half mast; sure, this wasn't the most comfortable place in the world to cuddle, but frankly, he could be content to sit here as long as she wanted.

...Which is why her huff made him snap out of that relaxed haze rather quickly, his eyes looking over to her curiously.]

[She pulls back to face him in surprise.]

[He readies himself for something dramatic the moment she started talking about "the perfect moment" and frankly she does not disappoint with that whole pipe bomb thing.

But then comes the actual revelation, and he just stares at her for a long, perhaps uncomfortable period of time, blinking maybe twice that entire time.

...Before flushing bright red with embarrassment and obviously losing all of his composure.]

W-wait, what? You're serious?

[He quickly shakes his head, rapidly realizing...]

I mean, of course you're serious, but... it's really that?

How can this be a surprise to you! I have taken many lovers, even dabbled in love before you, and it's in my nature to have a hearty appetite.

It's true, the past decade hasn't done much for getting me into the mood but have you seen you? I didn't want to push you because of your past but [GOD!!!!!!!] I can only be left hot and bothered so many times before I pull my own hair out!

[She does playfully push at one of his hot cheeks.]

[That last comment only makes his blush fiercer. Goddammit Sera.]

Look, I... [He grumbles a little in frustration, but he's clearly not upset, just... flustered.] I'm fine.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to hear that, it's just... Just like you're not a Seer, I'm not a psychic. ...And it may surprise you to hear me admit that I know I'm just awful at picking up signals.

[Yeah, he's ashamed to admit that, but he knows it's true.]

Hohoho! And what sort of thoughts were you having hmmm? [Yeah, she's definitely gonna pick on him. He set himself up for this. She grins a wicked grin and kicks her feet playfully. You keep me waiting all this time, just how satisfied with your imagination are you?

[Like it's going to be that simple to get him to speak specifics.]

I'm not blind to the fact that the actual sexiest demon in the universe is the woman I love, but....

[Is he pouting? Maybe a little. But he'd be lying if he said it didn't bother him somehow too.]

[She pokes him in the cheek, albeit a lot gentler than her usual pokes and prods.]

I am the sexiest demon, the most beautiful demon. I can't fault you for being intimidated [And she gives a small, hammy laugh.] but if we're being honest, my perfect moment involved...

[She sighs. Drops a bit of her act and speaks seriously.]

Waiting on you to say something first, that way I could be sure you wouldn't be afraid.

[Adell's own expression softens, his blush fading into something much more subdued, but the look on his face looked... touched, more than anything.]

Sera...

[...Of her. While now the notion seemed preposterous, he remembered back to the first time they met. How hostile he had been toward her for what she was, and how petrified he was of her ever actually charming him. She knew he'd been marked by another succubus, and told him as such; the scars on his face actually running far deeper than they looked. Down through his skin, through his mind, his conscious, subconscious, down all the way through his heart and very soul.

A cut so deep, he scarcely realized how far it went until she showed him. ...And it was only through her did it ever actually heal, but...

She had no way of knowing if it ever really had; he had never said a word about it, and while he was more than clearly comfortable with her now, taking that step... with a succubus, no less...

He knew she would never hurt him, never steal his soul, or worse. But there were times early on in their relationship where that gnawing fear still nipped at the back of his mind. It was a process to get past that, even though he knew they mutually loved one another.

...Adell's eyes drifted shut briefly, almost meditatively.]

[His eyes cracked back open about halfway. He looked relaxed, if still pensive and thoughtful. But there wasn't shame there anymore, or embarrassment.]

I know that this sounds silly, but... I didn't want to disappoint you either. Something special, something romantic, like I know you'd really want.

That had been her hope, silent and steady. But to have it confirmed unlocks a tension in her chest she hadn't known she was carrying until suddenly it was gone, freeing up more room for her to feel fondness instead. And she laughs, but it's a quiet sound, full of warmth and her hold around his neck only reinforces it.]

I don't mind if you don't know what you're doing. I already told you the solution. Hmph. You can talk to me, you can ask me. In fact, you will, and you've already started!

And as for my special, romantic moment... There will be nights where I want dancing under the stars, bubble baths, and symphonies. [She gives a spirited cackle. She already knows she's a lot to handle, and as kind as she'll be to Adell, this is still her area of expertise. The added intimacy of a loved one makes it all the more special and exciting, Adell's presence alone making her soul burn with passion. Yearning.

[That blush slowly worked its way back into his cheeks, though clearly more tinted with excitement and happiness than before. He quite happily and easily returned the kiss she gave to him in a way that spoke just how at ease he was with her. He smiled warmly at her when she broke it and spoke again, his nose gently nuzzling against hers.]

Heh... never should've second guessed myself. I'll be counting on you to teach me at first, but... hell, passion's something I'm pretty good at.

[He was a man who practically ran on it. Hell, he was even passionate with her in his own ways, but... he'd been holding himself back from those full urges, unsure if they were what he should do at the time. [It's said in the most affectionate way possible, his head turning to steal another kiss from her. After the kiss, he merely smiled, and decided to play along.]

[RUDE. But she's used to this particular teasing, tweaking his ear between her fingers as punishment enough. After their kiss Seraphina leans back as if a lightning bolt hit her.]

I thought all hope was lost after dinner but my secret snack stash--!

[And in an impressive blur she's gone, rifling through a corner of hidden snacks only to return with coconut macaroons in her hands. She promptly pushes one out for Adell to take.]

Eat this! It'll soothe your stomach and keep you from feeling full and gross. I refuse for our first anything to feel bloated and unsightly.

[Coconut has never failed her and it sure as hell won't now. She happily finishes her own in four bites.]

[Adell was lightning fast as far as many demons were concerned, and even Seraphina could manage to surprise him at how fast she could move when she was motivated. ...Wait, how many secret snack stashes to she actually have? This certainly was not her only one...

But that was something to worry about for another time, with her just as quickly reappearing and holding out a macaroon for him. He dutifully took it, carefully. Of course, his nose picked up the unique smell.]

Coconut? ...Uh... okay. Thank you.

[He bites into it, finding it surprisingly to his taste. He quickly finished it off, and while he wasn't sure it'd do everything she said it would, it definitely was a nice palate cleanser.]

Hey, that was pretty good. So... shall we?

[Okay, now she's definitely clear to make fun of you.]

Don't be so stiff! You follow your instincts in every other aspect of your life, I expect the same efforts for me! Hmph, get up you barbarian. It's time to take you dancing to a ballroom you've never seen before!

[And with a grin she reaches over and hauls him to his feet with one hand tugging his own. And spins effortlessly, taking the lead in a pair step dance they know well. Adell had proved a wonderful tutor when they'd started dating, and the multitude of dance classes Sera had taken on her own to keep up with him (when it came to culture and flair, she was as competitive as any other demon) gives her the confidence to guide and spin him around as she pleases.

And off they go, towards her bedroom of course.]

[...Instinct. That's always served him well. And there he was, overthinking everything again. It's what's held him back up until now, even if a lot of it was out of trying to be mindful of her. But now? Stop it. Sera's told him exactly what she wants, and it's time to stop holding back and stop questioning if he can do this.

He can. And he will.

He smiled brightly when she pulled him up to his feet and followed along effortlessly in dance, matching her moves with natural precision. That much came with great ease, to the point that it was entirely reflex.]

So, handle this like the time we won that dance tournament?

[With the obvious implication that she's leading this time, but it's said with a wink and a good laugh. It's not a function of thinking, so much as going with the flow of the music and the feel of one's partner.

...Only there's no music, but hey. Whatever. The prospect got him excited, and the dance got him loosened up and relaxed, enough to steal another quick kiss in a brief moment they were close. It felt right, so do it.]

With aplomb! With style! With substance that grinds our enemies bones to dust!

[And it's a fun memory to remember, has her bright and cheery, smacking Adell's lips back with an exaggerated MWAH and when they come to the center of her bedroom floor she dips him deep, winking back at him.]

And you will never go five thousand feet near that awful cologne again.

[It was, and still is, the smell of her deepest, darkest nightmares. All the Hell in the Netherworld could never force her to endorse it or endorse Adell as their spokesperson.

Feeling Adell warm and his core relaxed in her arms, she kisses him before he can respond to her demand. A heady air builds around them, her natural pheromones at work. It's nothing he hasn't experienced before, although he's never experienced the full effects of her allure. Even in consensual bonding, Seraphina is used to holding back, her very nature incapable of not overtaking the body and mind of her partner the closer they pull together.

After centuries it's second nature to keep herself in check. But being able to let loose just a bit, it's exciting on its own. She's a creature of instinct too - even if it makes her dangerous, that even the Netherverse would vilify her.]

[Oh lord, it seemed like a good idea at the time, but trying that new cologne was just the biggest mistake he'd made at the time... even six showers didn't feel like it took it all off...]

[While he had time to make a smartass remark after the kiss, that feeling in the air hit his senses hard. By now it's familiar, enough that he's actually quite comfortable with it; a remarkable change from when they first met. Even more intense bursts of her pheromones had stopped scaring him at all, accepting them for what they were. Still, unlike most other demons, he was naturally better about keeping his head through them. In that sense, his resistance that was once borne from fear still existed; though fear was no longer in the picture, but was instead powered by something else.

For now, he simply relaxed, and decided to go with the flow. What felt right was leaning in for another, deeper kiss. A response to her, saying he was ready and accepted that heavy air surrounding them, unafraid of what it meant and undeterred. In fact, the sincerity of this particular kiss might reflect an intensity from him she'd never really felt before.

A fire building. One that has not yet started to roar and consume all in its path, but one that was ready to build.]

[Seraphina picks up on his building heat, breaks their kiss to nip at his bottom lip, draw him into another kiss when she passes some embers of her own - her tongue slides against Adell's and sparks should fly through him, hot points following the line of his spine like hot drips of wax. Her allure builds around them but it also echos through spirit. She's excited, giddy in a way that's monstrous and familiar to her but unfamiliar to Adell.

She kisses the side of his nose, gentle. And then promptly tosses him onto the bed.

She stands at the foot of her bed with her hands on her hips dynamically.]
